It is ideal both for first-time visitors and for those looking to enjoy a relaxed experience surrounded by a unique natural setting of mountains, sea, forests, and glaciers.
Itinerary:
- Historic Center & La Misión Neighborhood: the tour begins in downtown Ushuaia, heading towards La Misión, the city’s first established neighborhood, originally founded by Anglican missionaries in the late 19th century.
- Coastal Area & CADIC: the route continues through the CADIC roundabout, home to the Austral Center for Scientific Research, a major institution in the region. From there, the tour follows Prefectura Naval Avenue, also known as the coastal avenue, which runs along the Beagle Channel with views of the port and waterfront.
- Ushuaia Sign Photo Stop: a stop is made at the iconic Ushuaia sign, a must-see landmark and popular photo opportunity for visitors.
- Las Hayas Viewpoint: the tour then ascends through scenic roads to reach the Las Hayas viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the city, the channel, and the surrounding mountain peaks.
- Return via San Martín & Museums: on the return to the city center, the tour passes along San Martín Street, Ushuaia’s main commercial avenue, home to shops, restaurants, and cafes. The final section of the tour passes the Maritime and Former Prison Museum roundabout and concludes at the End of the World Museum, a cultural icon that invites further exploration of the city’s rich heritage.
